Neutral tone was used concerning: T. Sarpashev - 282 seconds, A. Irsaliev - 205 seconds. The remaining 8 candidates were featured in a negative tone. A negative tone regarding MSN newspaper was found in a statement of the KR President A. Akaev, which was featured on NTRK channel on 17 February 2005.
Advertisement airtime on television and radio was used by the candidates as follows: N. Abdullaeva - 736 sec. (9.2 %), N. Kasiev - 603 sec. (7.5 %), R. Shabotoev - 370 sec. (4.6 %), M. Salymbekov - 381 sec. (4.7 %), A. Tagaev, J. Satybaldiev, K. Ismanov - 320 sec. each (4.0 %), E. Torobaev - 295 sec. (3.7 %), K. Joldoshbaev - 272 sec. (3.4 %), T. Madiyarov - 216 sec. (2.7 %), A. Public service announcements on television and radio have amounted to 3528 sec. of airtime.
In addition, an advertisement of Alga, Kyrgyzstan political party was featured - 196 seconds of airtime.

KOORT (Kyrgyz Public Educational Radio and Television)
The news items featured the candidates for deputy in the following order: B. Akaeva - 814 sec. (11 %), R. Alkanov - 304 sec. (4 %), B. Begaliev - 409 sec. (6 %), O. Bezborodova - 2200 sec. (30 %), O. Zhuravlev - 1744 sec. (24 %), O. Malyevannaya - 1453 sec. (20 %), K. Sherimkulov - 135 sec. (2 %), R. Shin - 271 sec. (4 %). Total: 7330 seconds of airtime on 8 candidates.
News airtime featuring the subjects involved in the elections: information from the voters - 2098 sec. (40.5 %), information from diplomatic missions - 126 sec. (2.4 %), from NGOs - 264 sec. (5.1 %), from political parties and movements - 188 sec. (3.6 %), from the power structures - 76 sec. (1.5 %), from the media - 728 sec. (14.1 %), from the CEC - 517 sec. Tone of statements. Information on the following candidates had a positive tone: B. Akaeva, B. Begaliev, O. Bezborodova, O. Juravlev, R. Shin. These candidates were mentioned in a negative tone: R. Alkanov, O. Malyevannaya, K. Sherimkulov. A negative tone was featured in a statement of A. Akaev, in which he declared his intention to sue MSN newspaper.
Advertisement airtime was used by the following candidates for deputy: O. Bezborodova - 680 sec. (34 %), O. Zhuravlev - 1320 sec. (66 %). Total: 2000 seconds on 2 candidates.
An advertisement of newspapers: Vechernij Bishkek - 2146 sec. (96 %) and Bishkek Times - 92 sec. was featured (4 %). Total: 2238 seconds on 2 newspapers. (together with KOORT they are a part of one media holding company).

On 17 February 2005 the Kyrgyz President A. Akaev made a special statement addressing the country's citizens, in which he harshly criticized MSN, an independent newspaper, and voiced his intention to go to court. He accused the newspaper's chief editor and its contributors of alleged libel on him personally and on the members of his family.
This statement was aired 4 times (2 times in Kyrgyz and 2 times in Russian) on television and 4 times (2 times in Kyrgyz and 2 times in Russian) on the radio of the National Television and Radio Broadcast Corporation. The statement was also aired on KOORT Television Company and PIRAMIDA Television and Radio Company.

Notes on the Printed Media section:
Government newspapers published a statement of the KR President A. Akaev, in which he accuses MSN, an independent newspaper, in libel on him and his family members
- 250 lines (see Slovo Kyrgyzstana newspaper of 18 February 2005). This statement was published in Russian and Kyrgyz in all government newspapers of Kyrgyzstan.
A statement of the representatives of real-estate developer associations addressed to the KR CEC chairman S. Imanbaev and the OSCE Ambassador in Kyrgyzstan M. Mueller was published - 500 lines (see Slovo Kyrgyzstana newspaper of 18 February 2005). In the statement they dispute the facts set forth in the report of the Coalition for Democracy and Civil Society on the monitoring of the election period.
